The People, Parks, and Community Foundation (PPCF) is on a mission to make a lasting impact on communities across Pennsylvania by fostering meaningful connections between people, parks, and neighborhoods. As we embark on this journey, we are seeking passionate, difference-making professionals to join us as founding members of our Board of Trustees.

As a Trustee, you will play a pivotal role in empowering under-funded communities, enhancing the stewardship of natural resources, and driving environmental, social, and economic outcomes that improve the livability of our towns and cities. If you are driven by these goals, we invite you to apply and be part of a foundation that is committed to building healthier, more resilient communities.

What We're Looking For in a Trustee

  • We are looking for individuals with a proven track record in foundation or nonprofit governance and leadership, as well as expertise in the following areas:
  • Strategic Business Development: Guiding the foundation's growth and ensuring its sustainability.
  • Revenue Development and Financial Management: Overseeing financial strategies that maximize our impact.
  • Philanthropy, Grantmaking, and Grants Management: Ensuring effective distribution and management of our resources.
  • Public Advocacy and Coalition Building: Championing our mission and forming partnerships that advance our goals.
  • People and Community Development: Enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities.
  • Marketing and Communications: Crafting and sharing our story to inspire and engage stakeholders.
  • Organizational Identity and Branding: Defining and strengthening the foundation’s public image.

While residence in Pennsylvania is not a requirement, a deep commitment to our mission is essential.
